Description:

This is a simple online store powered by the Blocksy theme and the Elementor theme builder. The WooCommerce plugin was used mainly to build in a huge amount of the store’s functionality, alongside other plugins. The shop page was set as the landing page, as we see in jumia.com.ng. This is the first page customers or prospects get to interact with.

On our clone site/redesign, there is a sidebar functionality for easy navigation and filtering of products based on their prices. There is also a cart icon on the sidebar widget, so when you add product(s) to your cart, it shows boldly on your screen, both at the top right corner and on the sidebar widget.

This page gives us a closer look at the individual products. This headphone is a simple product powered by the WooCommerce plugin. It has a product gallery containing thumbnail images that show further details about the products, e.g., the accessories, and casing. On a further click on the product image, a lightbox appears, giving you a more detailed view of the product. There is also an image slider, which helps to switch between the thumbnail images.

Furthermore, we see related products below the single products above. This feature can help you sell more products and can also help visitors/customers navigate your online store easily.

We also see here a drawer for the cart. This helps you view your cart at a glance without having to click on the “view cart” button. It also sums up, the total amount of your order apart from taxes and the shipping fee (SUBTOTAL).

This is the checkout page, where you can see your total expenses. Payments are made on this page.

Conclusion

This project was put together in less than a week, and it has the potential to become a fantastic online store with more time and resources. Overall, it was a fun experience for my partner and me. A big shout out to SideHustle for an opportunity like this to learn and get better. Please feel free to engage with this post. We look forward to your constructive criticism, and we are always open to learning. Also, celebrate our hard work by giving us a “heart” or “thumbs up."
